No. Open any puzzle and play as a guest. Your progress is saved in the browser on that device.

A free account adds your finish history, favorites, a place on the leaderboards, friends you can invite to rooms and the option to share your own pictures with everyone.

Yes. Puzzles go from 4 to 1000 pieces, and you pick the piece count before you start.

A 1000-piece puzzle takes a while and is easiest on a tablet, laptop or desktop screen.

Yes. The board works with touch, and on a phone it opens zoomed in on the loose pieces so they are big enough to pick up.

Phones offer piece counts up to 252 by default, because bigger boards mean a lot of zooming on a small screen. A link to a 300, 600 or 1000-piece game still opens it if you want to try.

It waits for you. Guest progress stays in the browser you used. When you are signed in, unfinished puzzles also save to your account, so you can carry on from another device.

Games you no longer want can be removed from your saved list.

No. Preview, Edges, Hint, Arrange and everything in the Tools menu, including Ghost image and Undo, are allowed. A finish that used them still goes on the leaderboard.

Each leaderboard covers one puzzle at one piece count. Your history keeps every replay, and your best time is the one shown on the board. The only setting that keeps a finish off the board is Untimed. A guest’s time goes on the board only after they sign in and save it.

Untimed mode lets you play at your own pace. An untimed finish still goes into your history and counts toward your streak, but it does not go on the leaderboards. Room results are kept apart from solo times.

Streaks count the daily puzzle only, and each tier keeps its own: Bronze at 24 to 80 pieces, Silver at 104 to 252, Gold at 300 or 600 and Diamond at 1000. A finish counts for its own tier, and every 7 days in a row earns that tier's badge again. Days change at midnight UTC; a daily you start late still counts if you finish it by the end of the next day. Missing a day never takes away badges you have already earned.

If a result looks wrong or your finish is missing from the board, write to us on the contact page. Include the puzzle link, the piece count, roughly when you finished and your username. Never send your password.

A result that was held back for a check goes back on the board once it is cleared.

The leaderboards only show players with an account. That way each name on a board belongs to the same player every time, and scores can be checked.

If you finish as a guest, we hold on to your time and offer to save it. Sign in from that offer and the result moves to your account.

Every public solo finish gets an automatic check of the time and the number of moves. We do not replay every move.

If a time or move count looks impossible, or other players report it, the result is held back until someone reviews it. A result that checks out comes back.

Rooms use the same board, but the room sets the piece count, so everyone works on the same puzzle. A piece that reaches its spot stays put, so nobody can pull the table apart.

Room results are kept apart from the solo leaderboards, since several people worked on the same board.

A new room is private unless the host picks Open to anyone. The host shares the link, and friends open it to join, with or without an account. Guests are asked once for a name, so everyone can see who is moving which piece.

An invite can have an end time. If none is shown, the link works for as long as the room is open. An invite sent to a particular account only works for that account.

After a short drop in the connection, the room reconnects by itself and shows the latest board. If you were offline for longer, reload the page before you move more pieces.

Tabs in the same browser count as the same player. Closing one tab does not take you out of the room while another tab still has it open.

Yes. Once you are friends you can invite them straight into a private room, or you can simply send them a room link.

Friend requests are in Friends, and Rooms lists the tables that are open to everyone.

Yes. Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP picture and play it privately once the file passes a quick check.

If you want other players to find it too, we look at the picture before it goes public.

Sharp photos with clear details make better puzzles. Landscapes, rooms, food, pets, buildings and travel photos usually work well.

Blurry photos, big empty skies, small screenshots and pictures full of text are harder to enjoy as puzzles.

Private uploads stay yours. Once a picture is approved and public, it becomes part of the catalog and cannot be deleted with one click by mistake.

If you want a public puzzle taken down, contact us. We handle it by hand so other players’ scores and history are not lost along the way.

No. Private puzzles are for your own pictures, and the community guidelines still apply. A picture shared publicly is turned down if it shows sexual or hateful content, cartoon characters, logos or anything else it would be unfair to publish.

These checks protect the players, the people who share pictures and the site.

Essential cookies and browser storage keep sign-in, security, privacy choices and saved guest progress working.

There are no ads on Jigsaway. Google’s tag tells us which puzzles get played and, when we advertise on Google, whether those ads bring people here. In the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland it sets no cookies until you choose “Accept all”. Choose “Essentials only” to keep it that way, or reopen Cookie settings from the footer if you change your mind.
