Accepting these terms

Jigsaway owns and operates Jigsaway.com. By using the site or its services, you enter into this agreement with Jigsaway and agree to these terms and the policies linked from them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be at least 13 to create an account, upload content or use community features. If local law requires a higher age to enter this agreement without a parent or guardian, that higher age applies.

Guest play and accounts

Public puzzles can be played as a guest. Saved account history, public results, collections, friends, messages, private room invitations and uploads require an account where the feature is available.

Provide accurate information, protect your password and do not share access to your account. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else is using it. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless applicable law says otherwise.

Acceptable use

Do not attack, probe, overload, scrape in a harmful manner or bypass the security and rate limits of the service. Do not automate play, manipulate scores, impersonate another person or interfere with another player's puzzle, account or room.

Do not use Jigsaway to distribute malware, spam, unlawful material, harassment, threats or content that violates another person's privacy or intellectual property. The Community Guidelines apply to profiles, uploads, chat, messages and other community activity.

Your uploads

You keep ownership of an image or other original content you upload. You must own it or have all permissions needed to use it on Jigsaway. Do not upload private images of other people without permission or material that is unlawful, unsafe, sexually explicit, hateful, deceptive or infringing.

You give Jigsaway a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, resize, encode, review and display your upload as needed to provide the feature you selected. If you request public publication, the license also allows us to distribute and promote the approved puzzle through Jigsaway until it is removed.

Private availability is not public approval. We may reject, restrict or remove an upload and preserve a limited review record when needed for safety, rights enforcement or abuse prevention. Contact us if you want a published upload reviewed for removal.

Jigsaway content and software

The site design, software, branding and catalog content supplied by Jigsaway or its licensors are protected by intellectual property law. These terms give you a personal, limited, revocable right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership.

You may not copy, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer or commercially exploit protected parts of the service except where law expressly permits it or we give written permission.

Scores, leaderboards and fair play

Public solo results are screened for eligibility and plausibility. “Screened” does not mean that Jigsaway has reconstructed every move or can prove that a result is free from manipulation.

Helper use, unusual timing, move counts, reports and other integrity signals may limit or flag a result. We may hide, restore or remove scores and can change leaderboard rules when necessary to keep comparisons meaningful. Room results and solo results remain separate because shared tables have different conditions.

Rooms, events and communication

A room is a shared table. Participants can affect the same board, and a connection problem may temporarily delay presence or progress updates. Use chat and direct messages respectfully, and do not share sensitive personal information there.

Events have their own schedule, piece count, team format and eligibility rules. We may correct, postpone or cancel an event when a technical or integrity problem would make the result unfair.

Moderation and account action

We may review reports and take proportionate action, including limiting features, removing content, hiding results, suspending access or closing an account. Serious security, safety or legal risks can require action without advance notice.

You may contact us if you believe a decision was mistaken. We may retain enough information about an enforcement action to handle an appeal, prevent repeat abuse and meet legal obligations.

Third-party services

Jigsaway can use or link to services supplied by other companies, such as Google sign-in, email delivery or advertising. Their own terms and privacy practices apply to the parts they operate.

We are not responsible for an external website merely because Jigsaway links to it. Review the external service before providing information or relying on its content.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Jigsaway reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted access or that every feature will remain unchanged. Maintenance, security work, provider failures and events beyond reasonable control can interrupt the service.

We may add, change or retire features, limits, catalog items, events and policies. If a material terms change requires notice or consent under applicable law, we will provide it before the change takes effect.

Disclaimers and liability

Jigsaway is provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties that are not expressly stated in these terms, including warranties of uninterrupted operation or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jigsaway is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.

Ending use and resolving concerns

You may stop using Jigsaway at any time and can ask about closing your account. Clauses that by their nature must continue after use ends, including ownership, licenses already needed for lawful records, disclaimers and dispute terms, will continue as applicable.
