Labrador beside a Campfire Ring

The Labrador has settled beside the empty campfire ring, with its front paws stretched out on the pine needles. Split logs and a white enamel mug lie nearby. Through the trees, the setting sun lights a lake and the hills beyond. Warm light catches the dog's ears and the fur along its back.

The pale coat stands out well against the campsite, making the dog a pleasant first section. Around its paws, the brown needles and rough stones need more careful sorting. Look for the dark spaces between the rocks to trace the fire ring. The distant lake is smoother than the foreground and has long, narrow reflections across it.
