Old Country Barn

Late sunlight reaches a red barn at the edge of a worn farmyard. Years of weather have faded the boards unevenly, while the shingled roof and lean-to remain dark beneath a broad tree. Hay bales are stacked under cover, and a wheelbarrow waits beside the open doorway. Hand tools rest against the wall as if they were put down at the end of the day's work.

Red boards around the doorway make a useful starting point, followed by the roofline and the dark opening itself. Pale fence rails are easy to pick out from the shaded hay, even where they cross the rough grass on the left. Later on, small changes in the ground become surprisingly helpful. A patch of sun, a wheelbarrow handle or a thin line of shadow is often enough to place a stubborn yard piece.
