About the Rainbow Row of Painted Houses jigsaw puzzle
The original Rainbow Row is a run of 13 Georgian houses on East Bay Street in Charleston, South Carolina. The block had become run-down by the early 1900s. Its pastel colors came with the restoration of the 1930s and 1940s. The rainbow houses jigsaw puzzle here is set somewhere else entirely, a cobbled lane of narrow houses in yellow, coral, blue and green running down toward the water. Flower boxes hang under nearly every window. A tabby cat has a bench by one door to itself, the one resident in no hurry at all.
