Summer Rain on a Tennis Court

Rain has darkened the blue-green court, but the white lines remain sharp. A green fence encloses the far side, where summer trees shine through the mesh. Small puddles catch pieces of the sky and make soft, broken reflections beside the clean geometry of the court.

Build the court markings first, checking the width of each line as it crosses the wet surface. Fence pieces are regular enough to sort by their diamond pattern, though the trees show through some gaps. Puddles should not be mixed with the pale sky. Their edges are low and uneven, often carrying a faint reflection of a line or leaf.
