Boxer Dog Asleep in a Wicker Basket

Boxers are a German breed, developed in Munich in the 1890s from an older hunting dog called the Bullenbeisser. The usual story behind the English name is the way they rear up and bat with their front paws when they play. This fawn one is doing the opposite, folded into a wicker basket that is plainly a size too small, its black muzzle resting on the rim. It's a boxer jigsaw puzzle for anyone who has watched a big dog insist that a little bed still fits.
