Relaxing Jigsaw Puzzles

A relaxing jigsaw puzzle gives you room to slow down. Quiet landscapes, warm interiors and softly lit scenes keep the board interesting without making every section compete for attention. They work just as well for a short pause as they do for an evening spent gradually bringing the picture together.

Begin with the part of the image that feels easiest to recognize, such as a shoreline, window, path or piece of furniture. Once that shape is settled, the calmer areas around it have fewer places to go. Large stretches of sky, water or fabric are less frustrating when you leave them until the stronger landmarks are in place.

There is no need to rush the final section. Save your progress, step away when you want to and return with fresh eyes; a subtle change in light or texture is often much clearer after a break.
