Twilight Gradient with Stars

A deep navy-to-violet gradient contains only a few tiny scattered stars across the dark field.

The tiny stars are the only hard points in an otherwise smooth field. Place them first and use their spacing to orient nearby navy and violet pieces. Once those marks are secure, the gradient can be built in narrow bands from the deepest blue through the softer purple edge. When twilight gradient with stars is complete, its nearby shadows and highlights should point naturally towards the remaining pieces.
