Persian Carpet Detail

An aged wool carpet fills the frame with a cream medallion set into deep brick red and indigo. Floral branches, serrated leaves and small blue blossoms spread outward, then give way to narrow patterned bands and a broad ivory border. Gentle wear softens parts of the pile, leaving tiny shifts in color that make the textile feel handled rather than printed.

The pale center is the easiest section to isolate, followed by the dark blue corners around it. Border stripes run in long parallel paths along the left and lower edges, useful when the repeating flowers begin to look similar. Knots, rubbed fibers and slight irregularities break the symmetry at close range, so familiar motifs still require careful matching.
