River Stones beneath Clear Water

Rounded river stones show through the clear water of a shallow stream. Ripples bend the reflections across their surfaces, while ferns and a mossy bank crowd the green edge. Some stones sit dry and warm above the current; others blur beneath the moving water.

Group stones by their outlines and the color of the water around them. Follow the ripple lines across several pieces instead of matching isolated highlights. The fern bank makes a useful dark border, and its fronds can be assembled separately before joining the stream.
