Brownstones in the West Village

A tree-lined West Village street shows classic brownstones with stoops, flower pots and soft afternoon light.

Brownstone facades repeat along the street, but each stoop and window gives its own small landmark. Build the nearest doorway and tree trunks first, then work towards the softer distance. Flower pots add little color changes at ground level, keeping the brick, leaves and pavement from becoming one large brown group.
