Courtyard Windows after Rain

Rain has darkened the brick walls around this narrow courtyard. Windows and small balconies face one another above puddles that reflect the pale sky, while ivy climbs one corner in a loose green column. The open space between the buildings keeps the scene bright despite the wet masonry.

Window frames provide the clearest repeated structure, although their reflections change from pane to pane. Brick should be sorted by mortar direction and the darker marks left by the rain. Ivy pieces have curved stems that can bridge wall sections. Leave the puddles until the lower edges are clear, since their reflections borrow shapes from the windows overhead.
