Garden Tea Time

Tea has been set on a wrought iron table in a garden filled with cream and pink roses. A white pot, cups, scones and small dishes catch the sun, while the curved chair and climbing flowers frame a quiet path beyond. Fine shadows from the metal tabletop fall across the linen and crockery.

Oval cup rims and the teapot's curved handle stand out against the fine lattice of the iron table. The linen napkin covers part of that pattern with a much softer surface. Scones and small dishes add gold and red to the pale crockery. Behind them, roses vary from tightly folded buds to broad open blooms. The chair repeats some of the tabletop's metal curves, but its open back reveals larger patches of the path and planting beyond.
