Orange Kitten in a Laundry Basket

Someone has found the clean laundry. An orange kitten sits upright between the towels, its front paws tucked together and its ears pointed towards whatever is happening outside the picture. The basket is much wider than the cat, with a thick woven rim and handles at either side.

A striped towel hangs over the front, nearly reaching the floor. More folded towels wait on the shelf behind it, while a few wooden pegs lie beside the rug. The blues in the cloth are sharper than the faded paint on the cupboard. Look closely at the basket and the weave changes direction around the handles, giving you something to follow through all that brown.
