Cat puzzles range from bright, curious portraits to sleepy indoor scenes. Eyes, whiskers and pointed ears make familiar landmarks, but every coat behaves differently under window light or shade. Cushions, plants and furniture often add enough color and texture to keep the picture varied without taking attention away from the cat.

The setting often echoes the coat. A dark quilt can almost absorb a black cat's outline, while books and wood repeat the warm colors around a tabby's face. A small change of light may reveal a paw or the curve of a tail within those similar surfaces.
