Tabby Cat on a Window Cushion

A tabby cat settles into a linen window cushion, its striped face turned toward the room. Whiskers catch the light along the muzzle, while rain-softened glass and a trailing plant fill the background. The cushion’s weave gives the lower half a quiet texture beneath the patterned fur.

Start with the eyes, ears and dark cheek stripes, then work outward through the whiskers. Keep fur pieces separate from the linen until their direction is clear. The plant and window are softer groups; use their stems and frame lines to close the background around the cat.
