Tabby Cat Asleep on a Parked Scooter Seat

Cats feel comfortable at warmer temperatures than people do, so they hunt out anything that holds a little heat, from a car hood to a laptop keyboard. A padded scooter seat out of the wind will do nicely. This tabby has curled up nose to tail on the cracked leather saddle of an old blue scooter, parked against a peeling ochre wall in a seaside lane. The result is a tabby cat jigsaw puzzle with rust on the metal and soft stripes on the fur. The scooter is clearly going nowhere until the cat wakes up.
