About the The Porta Portello, Padua by Canaletto jigsaw puzzle
Canaletto spent most of his life painting Venice. Around 1741 he traveled inland to Padua and painted this city gate. Passenger boats from Venice docked beside it at the end of their trip along the Brenta. The gate was built in the early 1500s and still stands.
