Siamese Cat by a Blue Window

The cat has the best seat by the window. Its dark tail curls around its paws on the blue sill, and the afternoon light catches the cream fur along its shoulder. A floral curtain is tied back beside it, leaving a view of the garden through the glass.

On the other end of the sill, herbs crowd a pair of terracotta pots. Chipped paint and leaf shadows cross the wood beneath them. There are several kinds of blue here, from the cat's eyes to the flowers printed on the curtain. The window bars divide the greenery into smaller sections, though the leaves themselves will take a little more patience.
