Wooden Sauna with a Bucket and Towel

Sauna is one of the very few Finnish words to make it into everyday English. In Finland it's close to a national institution, found in apartment buildings, summer cottages and even the parliament building. Finns also have their own word, löyly, for the wave of steam that rises when water is ladled onto the hot stones. This small one is pale pine from floor to ceiling, with a wooden bucket and a folded towel waiting on the bench. It makes a warm sauna jigsaw puzzle for a cold evening.
