Anemones in an Earthenware Jug

Anemones are often called windflowers, a name taken from the Greek word for wind. A loose bunch of them fills an old earthenware jug on a farmhouse table, a simple anemone jigsaw puzzle with plenty of color. In Greek myth they sprang up where the blood of Adonis fell, which is why red anemones were long linked with him.
