Apricots in a Wicker Crate

Ripe apricots fill the shallow crate, their blush skins turning orange where the light reaches them. Two are halved, showing smooth flesh and a single rough pit. Green leaves and loose straw sit between the fruit, while the wicker strips cross the stone surface beneath.

Round apricots repeat, but small dents and color changes keep them separate. Halves have a clean cut edge and a darker hollow around the pit. Wicker is a regular pattern with alternating over-and-under strips, quite different from the random straw. Build the crate corners first so the fruit has a frame to settle into.
