Handmade Chocolate Truffles

Handmade chocolate truffles sit in small paper cups across parchment, with an open gift box and loose ribbon winding through the scene. Some pieces are dusted with cocoa, others are coated in chopped nuts or crossed with pale chocolate stripes. A sieve, scattered chocolate shards and a bowl of cocoa keep the table from becoming one plain brown surface.

Paper cup ridges make clean circular anchors around many of the truffles. Nut-coated pieces separate quickly because their pale bits break up the darker chocolate. Cocoa-dusted rounds need closer sorting, but rough surfaces and shadowed edges give them character. Ribbon curves, parchment folds and small chocolate fragments help tie the corners back into the main arrangement.
