Butterflies over a Lavender Field

Many small butterflies drift above long rows of lavender in warm golden-hour light.

The lavender rows run towards the horizon and give the lower half a helpful rhythm. Small butterflies are easier to sort by wing shape once the purple bands are established. Golden light adds warm grass at the edges and a pale sky above, making this a gradual puzzle rather than one large purple field. Once butterflies over a lavender field is taking shape, the less varied pieces around it become easier to judge by edge and tone.
