Candlelit Table beside a Rainy Window

Rain runs down a wide window beside a small round wooden table. A beeswax candle glows in a glass holder next to a speckled ceramic mug, a bowl of chestnuts and an open book with blank pages. Outside, garden lights and wet paving dissolve into blue evening reflections.

Warm light makes the table grain easy to follow, but it also creates bright patches across the book and napkin. The window offers a different pattern made from long water trails, dark branches and little amber points beyond the glass. Work between those two temperatures, then pick out the chair's thick throw and the dried stems in the small vase.
