Farmers Market Fruit Stand

Morning light falls across a farmers market table packed with wooden crates of fruit. Peaches fill the left side in soft orange and red, with strawberries and blueberries lined up beside them in smaller baskets. Farther along the stand, citrus, apples, leafy greens and cucumbers sit under striped canvas awnings with small chalkboard cards tucked between the crates.

Crate sides divide the fruit into neighboring sections, though a leaf or stem occasionally crosses a wooden edge. Peaches have broad patches of red and yellow, while the berries form much smaller circles. Above them, the awning repeats a striped pattern at an angle to the table. Chalkboard cards sit among the produce as dark rectangles. Their borders are useful landmarks without needing to make out the small lettering.
