Farmers Market Fruit Stand

Morning light falls across a farmers market table packed with wooden crates of fruit. Peaches fill the left side in soft orange and red, with strawberries and blueberries lined up beside them in smaller baskets. Farther along the stand, citrus, apples, leafy greens and cucumbers sit under striped canvas awnings with small chalkboard cards tucked between the crates.

Begin with the awning stripes and the bright rows of peaches, berries and oranges. The chalkboard cards make useful dark anchors, and the crate edges help keep each fruit section separate. Greens in the back take more patience because their leaves overlap, but paper bags, hanging baskets and changes in sunlight break up the softer background.
