About the Layered Ink Washes on Paper jigsaw puzzle
When a puddle of ink dries on paper, the water evaporates fastest at its rim. Liquid from the middle keeps flowing outward to replace it and carries pigment along, so the edge dries darker than the center. Painters call these hard edges. Some spend years learning to avoid them, while others build whole pictures out of them. Layer after layer of indigo, gray and sepia has spread across rough paper here, every wash leaving its own dark tide line. The ink wash jigsaw puzzle has no subject beyond the way water moves.
