New York Skyline at Dusk

Dusk settles over the East River as Manhattan lights begin to sharpen against the blue sky. The Empire State Building stands near the center, lit clearly enough to anchor the skyline. Smaller towers step outward on both sides, and the river carries broken streaks of gold, white and deep blue.

The Empire State Building has a bright, narrow crown above a wider block of windows. Neighboring towers are shorter and differ in both outline and illumination. Along the riverbank, the lights form a thin horizontal band. Below that line, their reflections spread into longer streaks, broken by small waves. A gold fragment with a sharp window edge belongs to a building, while a softer strip of gold is more likely water.
