Spring Rain on a Village Lane

Spring rain darkens the paving of a quiet village lane, where cottage walls and budding trees close in on either side. Wet stones carry muted reflections, and the lane narrows toward a soft green rise in the distance. Ivy and new leaves add small flashes of color beneath the gray sky.

Use the lane edges and cottage corners as long anchors. Sort wet paving by its reflection rather than its gray tone, then group the budding branches by their fine silhouettes. The distant rise can wait until the nearer walls and road have fixed the perspective.
