Autumn River

A shallow river runs over rounded stones beneath red and orange autumn trees. An old stone bridge crosses the center of the scene, its low arch framed by misty slopes in the distance. Fallen leaves cling to wet rocks along the bank, while white water threads through the darker foreground.

A single low arch links the two wooded banks. Its stones follow a curve, while the parapet makes a straighter line above the water. White ripples break around the foreground boulders in narrow channels. The red canopy on the left has darker, denser patches than the orange trees opposite. Behind the bridge, mist softens the distant slope until its colors nearly meet. That faded background contrasts with the wet, sharply outlined stones closest to the viewer.
