Some of these plants barely fit inside their pots. Broad blue-green rosettes spread over the rims, while thin stems trail almost to the shelf below. The darkest leaves are a deep burgundy. Near the middle, a smaller pointed plant has white stripes running across its leaves.

The pots hang at different heights on a rough stone wall, leaving irregular patches of pale masonry between them. Chalky marks cover the terracotta, especially along the rims. Look for those curved edges when the orange pieces start to look alike. Along the bottom ledge, smaller pots, loose pebbles and short shadows break up the long horizontal line.
