Barn Owl on a Fence Post

A barn owl perches on a weathered fence post at dusk, with a golden meadow fading into soft evening light behind it.

The post makes a useful first group, especially where its cracked wood meets the pale meadow. Sort the owl's face, wings and feet separately, then use the warm grass to build outwards. Dusk light changes from gold near the horizon to cooler blue above, so the sky is easier in bands than all at once. With a larger piece count, keep barn owl on a fence post together as one reference group until the surrounding colors have settled.
