Swans on a Misty Pond

Two white swans glide through a narrow pond just as morning mist lifts from the water. The nearer bird holds a tall curved neck near the left bank, while the second moves farther back between reed beds. Willow leaves hang across the top of the scene, and pale tree shapes fade into the fog beyond the waterline.

Reflections do a lot of useful work here. Each swan leaves a broken white shape below it, with orange bill marks repeated in the ripples rather than copied exactly. Reed stems on both sides give the puzzle firm vertical texture, while the willow fringe creates a darker top edge. Mist softens the distant trees, so the clearest progress comes from joining bird shapes, water rings and the reeds before working into the quieter background.
