Cats often greet people they trust with a slow blink, narrowing their eyes and holding them half shut for a moment. In a 2020 study, cats were more likely to approach a stranger who slow-blinked at them first. This one has stretched out across a closed laptop on a wooden desk, chin on the lid and eyes at half mast. It's a black cat jigsaw puzzle where the work is clearly done for the day.
