Dahlia Garden in Full Bloom

There is barely room for the path between these dahlias. The largest red flowers lean out from the left, while yellow blooms crowd the other side. Coral petals overlap near the middle, and a white flower catches the light just behind them. Bamboo canes keep the taller stems upright.

The gravel path curves towards a terracotta pot and a low stone border. Farther back, smaller pink flowers climb across the garden, with a window peeping through the leaves. Each dahlia has its own arrangement of petals, from tight little curls to long pointed tips. The buds are useful landmarks too, especially where the leaves start to look alike.
