Lavender Bundles on a Bench

Lavender bundles lie across a weathered bench, tied stems pointing in different directions beneath clusters of purple buds. Loose leaves, twine and wood grain create short lines around the fragrant-looking piles.

Group each bundle by its tie and stem before matching flower heads. Bench boards provide a firm horizontal guide; save the soft background until the overlapping leaves and pale highlights are joined. Twine knots and lavender stems are narrow anchors that keep the soft flower heads from blending. Look for matching buckle shapes before sorting the pale stone background.
