Deer in an Autumn Clearing

A red deer stag grows a whole new set of antlers every year. He drops the old pair in spring and grows the next under soft velvet over the summer. By autumn they've hardened in time for the rut. A stag and two hinds watch the camera from the copper bracken of a birch wood in a deer jigsaw puzzle. During the rut, stags roar at each other for hours to size up their rivals.
