Koalas in a Gum Tree Canopy

Two koalas rest on separate eucalyptus branches, one close against pale bark and the other tucked into the upper right canopy. Long leaves overlap the branches, leaving small windows of blue sky and a distant wooded slope beyond. Sunlight catches the grey fur in soft patches and gives the peeling trunks several warm tones.

The large koala and the pale trunk make a strong group for the left side. After that, follow the heavy branch across the upper picture until the smaller animal comes into view. Eucalyptus leaves can look similar, so sort them by direction and by the brightness along their edges. The distant water and hills are quieter pieces that work well after the canopy has a clear frame.
