Fritillaries in a Meadow Hollow

Purple bells hang low in the meadow, each petal marked with a faint checkerboard. A few white fritillaries rise among them, catching more light than the surrounding grass. Dew beads cling to slender blades and the bent stems that hold the flowers clear of the damp ground.

This puzzle rewards looking inside a color patch rather than just around its edge. The purple checks change size as the petals curve, helping distinguish one bell from another. White flowers provide smaller, brighter sections to complete between them. In the grass, look for a crossing or droplet that gives an otherwise anonymous green piece a place to belong.
