Ice Hockey Gear in a Locker Room

The skates have seen plenty of ice. Their black leather is scuffed around the toes, and the white laces cross above blades marked from use. A puck sits on the red bench beside a pair of padded gloves. Behind them, towels hang from open blue lockers.

Two sticks lean against the wall near the rink doorway. There is a strip of pale ice through the glass, but most of the picture stays close to the equipment. The locker vents form neat rows of diamonds, quite different from the loose folds of the towels. On the bench, scratches break up the red paint and expose the wood beneath.
