Rowers Leaving the Boathouse

Three narrow shells point toward the river outside the wooden boathouse. Oars rest on a rack, their blades making pale blocks against the darker wall. The water is calm enough to hold broken reflections of the posts, while a low mist softens the far bank.

The shells are long, but their ends taper in different ways. Use the cockpit openings to tell one boat from another before joining the thin hulls. Oar shafts make useful lines, although a reflection can look nearly identical until you check its waviness. Build the boathouse posts next; they give the scene a stable vertical rhythm beside the water.
