Pumpkin and Pecan Pies on a Windowsill

Pumpkin pie and pecan pie cool on a wide farmhouse windowsill, with a woven cloth and loose pecans beside them. Through the window, an autumn garden glows in soft afternoon light. The pies' crusts, fillings and curved plates create three distinct groups in the still life.

Build the pie rims and the darker pecans first, then follow the sill across the lower edge. The garden separates into tree, leaf and sky sections beyond the glass. Save the cloth weave and small crumbs for the final pieces around the plates.
