About the Spring Floodwater around Meadow Fence Posts jigsaw puzzle
Low river meadows flood most springs, when snowmelt and rain arrive faster than the channel can carry them away. Once the water spreads across the flat ground it slows down and drops the silt it was carrying. Year after year that thin layer builds the rich soil floodplains are known for. Old fence posts stand in shallow brown water here, rusty barbed wire still strung between them and willows just greening up beyond. The reflections give this flooded meadow jigsaw puzzle a quiet, doubled look.
