Summer Fairground before Opening

The fairground is ready but still empty. Painted carousel horses turn along the left edge, while striped stalls, blank panels and rows of bunting lead towards the wheel in the distance. Picnic benches sit on the gravel between flower tubs, and the morning sun picks out gold trim, canvas roofs and polished poles.

The carousel gives you strong curves and bright color groups to begin with. After that, the stalls repeat their stripes without ever matching perfectly. Gravel, timber and flower leaves break up the larger painted areas. Work along the bunting and roof lines, then use the wheel, benches and quiet gaps between the attractions to finish the background.
