Three Owlets on a Branch

Three fluffy tawny owlets sit in a row on a mossy branch with big round eyes and soft green forest behind them.

Three faces give this scene an easy rhythm, though their feather patterns are close enough to need care. Keep each head with its own chest and branch section before joining the row. Moss, bark and soft leaves bring in warmer greens and browns, which helps break up the tawny feathers. The smaller details in three owlets on a branch reward close looking, especially after the broad shapes have found their places.
