Tiger in Tall Grass

A tiger walks through tall grass at the edge of a forest, its face turned toward the viewer. White cheek fur and dark markings frame the eyes above its broad muzzle. One front paw reaches onto a patch of bare ground, while the striped tail curves behind the body. Sunlight passes between the trees, leaving alternating bright and shaded areas in the grass.

Stripes bend around the tiger's shoulders and become narrower across its face. Some disappear behind grass stems, then reappear a little farther down the body. Following those interruptions is more useful than treating every black stripe as the same shape. White cheek fur and whiskers cluster around the face. Farther back, the forest has softer edges, with patches of sunlight reaching the ground between the trunks.
