Whale Tail beyond a Kelp Bed

A whale tail rises beyond a kelp bed, with its broad silhouette crossing shafts of blue light. Kelp fronds, bubbles and distant water layers create vertical and diagonal clues around the dark flukes.

Build the tail edge and notch first, then follow kelp stems upward from the seafloor. Sort bubbles by size and brightness; open blue water is a calm final section. Kelp stems rise from the same lower bed, making their direction useful beside the whale silhouette. Water highlights run differently from kelp, which helps sort the lower edge.
