Abstract Color Field

Teal, coral, mustard, cream and charcoal shapes overlap in a textured abstract composition. Some boundaries resemble torn paper, while others carry ridges and streaks of paint. A dark form crosses the lower center beneath a pale brush mark. Narrow gaps reveal lighter material between the larger colored areas.

Ragged edges interrupt the otherwise broad fields of color with small notches and fibers. Painted boundaries are smoother, sometimes fading into thin streaks. The charcoal section has a pale sweep that helps establish its direction. Cream areas differ from the warmer background through grain and scuff marks. Without a landscape or familiar object to locate each fragment, the precise contour of an overlap becomes especially useful.
