Basketball on an Outdoor Court

An orange basketball rests on the sideline beside a pair of worn white high-tops. From down here, the ball looks almost as tall as the bench across the court. Beyond it, a white line curves around the faded red paint beneath the hoop.

Sun comes through the trees on the right, throwing fence shadows over the blue asphalt. Cracks cross the painted lines, and small leaves have gathered near the edges. There is quite a lot of blue to sort, but it changes from cool shade on the left to pale, rough patches in the sun. The ball's dark channels are easier to follow. Behind the fence, brick walls, fire escapes and windows fill the gaps between the trees.
